“20 years of the international Living Lakes Network. We want to celebrate this anniversary at the 15th International Living Lakes Conference to be held in Valencia, Spain, 7 – 9 May 2019. We cordially invite you to attend this important event.
Successful partnerships for the sustainable management of water catchment areas are the main topics of the event in Valencia. In addition, the focus will be on strategies and concrete measures to adapt to climate change. Ecological, economic and social dimensions of lake and wetland management (e.g. successes and challenges for lake protection on global level, business and lake biodiversity, payment for ecosystem services as well as resilience of water ecosystems against impacts of climate change) will be discussed during the conference.
This year’s conference will be hosted by the Global Nature Fund and the Spanish Living Lakes partner organisation Fundación Global Nature. The event offers a valuable platform for discussion and exchange between NGOs, scientific institutes, government and business representatives from all over the world.”
