The webinar is organized by the Capitals Coalition with the participation of the Global Alliance for the Future of Food, WBCSD and Olam International.
The aim is to present the content of the TEEBAgriFood Operational Guidelines to the Capitals Coalition community and institutions interested in this guidance.
The guidelines are applicable for any business in the agriculture and food sector who would like to measure and value their impacts and dependencies on nature, people and society. It is a step by step guide to apply a multi-capitals assessment and enable better decision making.
These Guidelines go beyond existing guidance for business by considering the interdependencies between nature and people in the food value chain. This is an important next step towards mainstreaming capitals into decision making and will inform work in other value chains and geographies. The efforts made by businesses to apply these Guidelines will be integrated through a broader systems-based projec run by the united Nations Environment Program (UNEP) which aims to connect all relevant actors.
We want to present these Guidelines and foster debate as your feedback is welcomed and will contribute to the development of the final Guidelines, due to be published in November 2022.
