A second meeting is happening on the 5th of June to get inputs from the Working Group (WG) on Innovation and engage the members of the B@B community in a series of exciting dialogues about partnerships, bankable innovations, and much more.
For this year, there are quite a few objectives that the Innovation Workstream (WS2) has put forward:
◾First, we will further strengthen our partnerships with relevant platforms and networks: The WG on Innovation will get updates from the Natural Capital Hub, WBCSD, Oppla, and on the forthcoming H2020-SC5-18 Coordination and Support Actions on NCA;
◾Following the first meeting of last year, the WG will discuss the scope of the Innovation Toolbox, that aims to showcase innovations in the business and biodiversity arena;
◾Developing a guidance on what, in the B@B arena, constitutes a bankable/investable innovation. Relevant ongoing initiatives in the field, such as CPIC, IUCN NL’s Green Finance Academy, NCFF, Naturvation, Nature-Based Solutions business cases, and UNEP FI Positive Impact will be discussed at this stage;
◾Identifying key R&I needs for the B@B arena;
◾Promoting access of the B@B community to relevant H2020 calls for 2019 and 2020: the WG on Innovation provide inputs for the forthcoming webinar based on the 2017 webinar results; and
◾Enhancing engagement of the B@B community in the H2020 SME Instrument: the WG on Innovation will be asked to discuss a draft final version of the paper on B@B innovation funding through the SME Instrument and key follow-up actions.
